You Need to Visit These Portland Areas
Here are three must-visit locations you need to see while in Portland.
Looking for fun places to go for a day around Portland? Maybe you’re new to the area, or maybe you’re just looking for an adventure you haven’t heard of yet. Whatever your situation is, here are a few of the best places to visit in Portland:
- Mt. Hood. This beautiful 11,000-foot-tall volcano is about an hour and a half from the city, and it has everything an outdoor lover could want. Fishing, hiking, skiing, and more are all top-notch here, and the nature is truly breathtaking. The lodge where “The Shining” was filmed is also here, so if you love that movie, you won’t want to miss it.
“The nature in our area is unmatched.”
- The Gorge. This valley is located about 30 minutes from the city, and its beauty is something you really have to see for yourself. There are photos at 1:05 in the video above, but they don’t do it justice. Besides gorgeous nature, there’s also the quaint town of Hood River, which is a great place to spend a day with the family.
- Wine country. As you can probably guess from the name, there are countless fantastic wineries in this region, but that’s not all this area has to offer. There are plenty of rolling hills and farms in this area, as well as some of the best restaurants in the state. It goes without saying that if you’re a wine lover, you won’t want to miss this region.
This is just a taste of some of the amazing places around Portland. Stay tuned for a follow-up video, where I’ll cover more fantastic places to visit here. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to call or email me with any questions. I am always willing to help!
